Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 11, 2026Last updated: October 19, 2026

What this covers

It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What we collect

  • Wellness goals: blood sugar, blood pressure, or cholesterol, if you choose them
  • Allergens you tell us to avoid
  • Dietary preferences you select
  • Foods you dislike, if you add them

Why we use it

To build your weekly grocery list, check ingredient lists for your allergens, and suggest swaps.

Who receives it

We use these service providers to run Temple:

  • Supabase: stores your account and list information
  • Vercel: hosts the Temple web application
  • Resend: sends account and billing emails. It does not receive your health information.
  • PostHog: product analytics. [TODO_LEGAL: update this entry after the PostHog changes are confirmed.]

Recipe data

Recipes are provided by FatSecret. We keep the recipe ID so you can find your saved recipes. Recipe names, images, and nutrition are removed from our storage after 24 hours and loaded again when you open them.

How long we keep it

Until you change or delete your goals or allergens, or delete your account. Changed values are replaced. Deleted data is removed from our active systems. Our database provider does not currently keep backups for this project, so deleted data is not kept in backups.
